BUL 1-0 Vipers

Jerome Kiirya scored the first goal at refurbished Mandela National stadium, Namboole as BUL saw off Vipers to reclaim top spot in the first of the two test matches.

The well attended match that kicked off at 4pm was surprisingly dominated by the Jinja based side against all odds.

Alex Kitaata beat Vipers offside trap down the left flank and set up Kiirya on the edge of the box to put the ball home and send BUL fans and the partisan crowd into frenzy.

Vipers struggled to fathom out opportunities until the introduction of Yunus Sentamu and Bright Anukani late in the second half but the hosts held on for all points.

In fact, they had chances to stretch lead but Alfred Mudekereza was at hand to deny Martin Aprem while Torach stopped second half substitute Gerrald Ogweti.

BUL are now on 49 points, two ahead of second placed Kitara while Vipers drop to 3rd with 46 points but have a game in hand over the two sides.
