It is the knock out round of the 2024 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Mpigi zone football championship in Gomba district.

This follows the successful completion of the grueling group stage action.

Defending champions Royal Giant High School faced Gombe Secondary School at the Kasaka CDC playground during the early kick off.

At the same ground, Kakungube Secondary School faced Kyanja High School.

Bulo Parents School faced Budinse Memorial Secondary school at the Bukandula Church of Uganda playground.

The last game at this venue is that of Mpigi Mixed against Mubende Army Secondary School.

Highway SS Kiganda also played at Bukandula Church of Uganda playground against Mitala Maria Progressive school.

At Kabulasoke PTC playground, Kifampa SS and Mitala Maria Hill locked horns in the early kick off, followed by Kisozi Seed against Singo Secondary School.

MUMSA High School against Bukandula College is the other game lined up at Kabulasoke PTC playground.

Mpigi zone has schools from the districts of Mubende, Kassanda, Mityana, Butambala, Mpigi and Gomba.

The three top schools will qualify for the 2024 USSSA nationals in Masaka city.
