Olila High School continued to lead the way in Group A of the Girls’ Schools Cricket Week with a clinical performance in their win against Iganga SS.

The defending champions are chasing a fifth title in a row and will be counting on home-turf advantage to enable them to claim the prize. Their fierce rivals and home town side Light SS are also unbeaten so far and they continue to lead the way in Group B.

However, the biggest winners of the day were four-time champions Gayaza High School who defeated Mukono Kings by 5 wickets in an interesting encounter. Mukono Kings have been indifferent in the last two days since their win on the opening day and against a very determined Gayaza High School they were a no match. Gayaza, unfortunately, could not follow up that performance with another win in the afternoon, they were on the wrong end of the result against Sacred Heart SS from Gulu.

As the tournament draws towards the business end, Match Day 4 will be a moving day as the schools push for semifinal places.
