Mengo City recovered from a scare to condemn Kawempe with a 5-2 result on week 18 of the 2023-2024 betPawa Futsal super league at Old Kampala Sports Arena in Mengo, Kampala.
The second game on the evening of Thursday, 11th April 2024 witnessed the return of Mengo City head coach Ismail “Big Daddy” Ssendege on the touchline after suspension of two matches.
Anthony Male struck a brace with Herbert Kalema, Abdul Kharim Tebera and Derrick Mubiru scoring once apiece for Mengo City.
Ashiraf Walugembe and Rogers Sempaka scored the two goals for Kawempe who are yet to win a game this term.

Match day 18 of the betPawa Futsal Super League (2023-2024) between Mengo City and Kawempe
Despite the victory, Mengo City remained glued in the 7th position with 23 points.
Kawempe has not recorded a single win in as many as 18 matches with an underwhelming goal deficit of 100 goals.
Week 18 had the first game witnessing Kisugu’s 8-0 white-wash of Edgars Youth Programme.
Kenneth Majara starred with five goals to his personal tally.
Henry Komakech scored a brace and Hashim Ali Banya added the other.
Week 18 shall climax on Friday, 12th April 2024 with the table leaders Park tussling Kisenyi.
The betPawa futsal super league is exclusively organized by the Futsal Association of Uganda (FAU), a subordinate member and body of Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA).
