Light High School, Seguku secured a 6-0 victory against Divine College in the ongoing USSSA Wakiso Regional Games at Kabaka Kyabaggu Stadium on Thursday.

Light High Seguku registered it’s fourth victory in the five games played sofar in the ongoing tournament.

The game kicked off on a slow pace until, Light High Seguku took the second gear in the final minutes of the first stanza.

Junior ‘Neymar’ Hile gave Light High Seguku the lead in the 20th minute with a well curled effort into the back of the net.

Five minutes later, Ibrahim Sekandi doubled Light High Seguku’s lead with a simple tap-in converting Hile’s well weighed from the right flank.

Before the end the first stanza, Sekandi made it three after getting to an end of Light High’s counterattack that was early engineered by Hille.

In the second stanza, Light High made a few changes introducing fresh legs onto the field of play.

Quick-footed Benard Bagambe scored a quick brace as Light High stretched the lead to five as Divine College’s backline looked on.

Arafat ‘Weghorst’ Ibanda sealed the victory with an effort from outside the box as Light High easily went past Divine College.

Next on the menu, Light High will play Kawempe SS and St Jonah High School on the final day of group stages.

Elsewhere, defending champions Buddo SS registered a hard fought 2-1 victory against Aidan College before the beat Zanna Mixed 4-0 in the evening.

St Mary’s Kitende continued its scoring party as the secured a 6-0 victory against Kasule H/S before beating Central College 3-0 in a second half blitz.

On Friday, April 12, Buddo SS will face Andy Mwesigwa while St Mary’s Kitende will take on Greenlight in the final group stage games.
