SC Villa hopes of winning this year’s League title suffered another blow after succumbing to rivals KCCA FC in a gamd played at Mandela National Stadium on Wednesday.

With Kitara and Vipers SC failing to attain maximum points in their respective games, the Jogoos had an opportunity to close down the gap in the title run.

Usama Arafat Kizza bagged a second half brace to guide KCCA FC to victory on a day the refurbished stadium was opened for soft testing.

Villa like it has been in recent outings failed to utilize the scoring chances created. Charles Lwanga had the best opportunity for SC Villa in the first half but failed to put the ball beyond goalkeeper Joel Emojong.

The breakthrough came in the 81st minute with Usama heading home from Herbert Achai’s cross.

He got his second of the day a minute to the end of normal time, tucking home from close range in what was a team goal.

The result means SC Villa remain 4th on 45 points, four behind leaders BUL FC but the Jogoos have a game in hand.

KCCA FC on the other hand move to 42 points in sixth place.
