Record champions SC Villa host Wakiso Giants in a fixture they must win to remain with any hopes of winning their first league title in over 20 years.
Villa come into the game seeking a quick reaction after their 2-0 defeat to KCCA that punched big holes in their title ambitions.
Currently 5th with 45 points, a win will move them within points of leaders BUL and level with second placed Kitara – both have played one more game than the Jogoos.
SC Villa defender Arnold Odong missed the last two outings through injury but wants to fight for the badge on his return.
“I am glad that I am fully back and fit to play tomorrow. We have few games left in the league, and every game now is important. We are coming to fight for the badge tomorrow, because points are all we need to stay in the title race,” said Odong
“Wakiso Giants is a good team, but we’ve corrected the mistakes from the previous game and we’re anticipating good results tomorrow. I call upon the fans to come and support us tomorrow,” Arnold added.
Meanwhile, the Purple Sharks are still entangled in the battle for safety and will give everything to ensure they pick maximum points as well.
John Ayala’s men are 12th with 29 points, seven ahead of safety but need at least one win to confirm security.
At Kavumba, NEC must win to stay in title contention when they take on Soltilo Bright Stars.
The Bugolobi based side are 6th on the table with 43 points and victory will put them on three points behind the leading pack with three games left to play.
