BUL vs KCCA – Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru 3pm

Pajule Lions Vs Pakwach Young Stars – Pajule 3pm

A place in the semi-finals is up for grabs as BUL lock horns with KCCA at Fufa Technical Centre, Njeru on Friday.

The two sides have so far met twice this season with BUL reigning over the Kasasiro with a win and draw in the league.

With the visitors nine points off the summit in the league, a triumph in the Stanbic Uganda Cup looks more achievable than winning the league and so will give it all.

BUL Coach Abbey Kikomeko is aware of that but asserts that his side also want to win and progress which is the target on Saturday.

“I know they will give it everything but we also want to progress beyond this stage after we were eliminated by Police last season,” said Kikomeko.

“We have face twice so far winning 1-0 here and drawing goalless away but this will be a different game altogether and we must win it,” he added.

His counterpart Abdallah Mubiru says the previous two meetings in the league are now history and what will matter is the current fixture.

“It’s not about history,” he said. “The lads are ready and aware of the task ahead of us,” he added.

Earlier today, Abdallah Mubiru addressed the media ahead of our @FUFAUgandaCup quarter-final game against BUL FC tomorrow.

“It’s a tough game against a good side but we are more than ready as we seek to continue our journey in this competition.”

BUL have no injury worries with all players available for selection according to Kikomeko while KCCA have to wait on Ashraf Mugume fitness situation.

KCCA will hope for better fortunes at Njeru as they have lost their two trips at the venue so far.

Elsewhere, Pajule Lions host Pakwach Young Stars in the other quarter finals with Kitara and Vipers clashing on Sunday.

NEC are already in the semi-finals after eliminating last season’s finalists Police FC 2-0 on Wednesday.
