St Noa and Rines SS will be locking horns in the girls’ football final on Sunday, April 14 as the USSSA Fresh Diary Games come to an end.
The two giants reached the grand stage after winning their semi-final matchups that were played on Friday, April 12.
St Noa secured a 2-0 victory against Hope SS thanks to Sylvia Kabene and Imelda Kasemire’s exciting strikes.
St Noa’s Road to the final
The Zanna based side topped group D with a maximum of 18 points. At the group phase, St Noa scored 18 goals and conceded only one.
In the quarterfinals, they faced Agro-Link a side they thumped 5-1 in a well-attended to duel. Kabene (brace), Kasemire, Kamiyat Naigaga and Rebecca Nyakake scored St Noa’s goals.
They later easily went past a sturbborn Hope SS (Watoto Bira) to set a date with Rines SS. Rines topped group C with 15 points, they scored 18 goals and conceded none.
In the quarterfinals, Rines SS beat Kakungulu High School 2-0 before registering a 3-0 victory against Aidan College, Ndejje.
