Gospel minister and singer Shalom Tuyisenge Biggy, also known as Biggy Shalom, has released the visuals for his new song titled “ABBA”. We chatted with him to understand him better and his love for Gospel music.

Who is Biggy Shalom?

I am Shalom Tuyisenge Biggy a Gospel minister who uses Biggy Shalom as a stage name. I was born in DR Congo and I am the firstborn of nine kids.

Why Gospel music?

After taking different music courses and training, I chose to sing the songs that worship and praise my Lord God through his only begotten son Jesus Christ because I realized that if it wasn’t for Jesus Christ. I’d die a sinner and perish.

So I chose the Gospel in terms of appreciation to God for his love and mercy upon the world.

I’m now doing music production and other music-related business like songwriting, music arrangement, distribution, and promotion.

Tell us about your new song “ABBA”

I got the inspiration to write ‘ABBA’ at the dawn of 2021 and I recorded it in 2022. Even its video footage was captured that very year. I couldn’t release it because I faced some life challenges. I am thankful to the Almighty God for he knew that the exact time is now to spread the good news of the Lord.

When composing this song, in my mind there was an inspiration for the phrase “No You, No Life” so I coined it in the direction of Jesus Christ because I’d seen that we normally have many different dependencies.

Only Jesus is a success provider and for that, we have no other things to depend on apart from ABBA (Our Father in Heaven).

What is in the plans for you?

I have too many pending songs and I request my fans especially Mbu.ug followers to give me their attention and support my ministry by following my social media and subscribing to my YouTube channel “Biggy Shalom”.
