It might sound funny but it is true that Dr. Hajat Kulthum Nabunya’s husband, Eng. Acram Gumisiriza is looking forward to contesting for the highest office in Uganda come the 2026 general elections.
Eng. Acram Gumisiriza opened up about his political aspirations as he celebrated Eid-Ul-Fitr with his lover Hajat Kulthum Nabunya at an outing where their close friends escorted them.
While having a good time out, reporters bumped into them and thanked Acram Gumisiriza for loving and caring for Kulthum Nabunya to the fullest as he promised on their wedding day.
When asked what he is planning to do for his wife next, Acram Gumisiriza disclosed that he is planning to make Kulthum the first lady of Uganda by contesting for the presidential seat in 2026, maintaining that it is probably the only gift remaining that he wants to present to his wife.
He disclosed that he is going to contest as an independent adding that he has all the requirements needed for one to become the president of this country.
I have done almost everything for my lover Hajat Kulthum but what I think I can do for her next is to contest for the presidency of Uganda in 2026 and make her become the first lady of the country. I going to contest as an Independent.

When asked which symbol he is to use, he replied by saying the ‘Eyes’ since people usually describe him by his eyes adding that they help him see from afar.
He assured the public that he is serious about his revelation adding that starting next week, he will be moving around the country getting the required signatures that permit him to contest.
