Mandela National stadium, Namboole 7pm

Refurbished Mandela National stadium, Namboole will host the biggest clash of the season when KCCA renew rivalry with bitter rivals SC Villa on Wednesday.

The two giants share a whopping 29 league titles between them and have a chance to extend that tally this season.

SC Villa come into the game in a better position in that regard though as they occupy 4th place with 45 points, just three behind table leaders Kitara with the Jogoos having played two games less.

On other hand, KCCA’s title hopes are faint as they sit 6th, six points behind Villa but until it is mathematically impossible, they will give it a chase which makes the game a highly anticipated spectacle.

Villa lost the reverse fixture 2-1 at Mutesa II stadium, Wankulukuku with early goals from Ettiene Katenga and Ashraf Mugume and will be confident of completing yet another double over the record champions.

In fact, KCCA has bossed this fixture in the recent past with Villa managing only two wins over the past two decades.

Leading scorer Muhammad Shaban alongside Ettiene Katenga, Usama Arafat, Ashraf Mugume and company will lead the hunt for goals with Peter Magambo, Filbert Obenchan if fit marshalling the defence.

For Villa, ex-KCCA striker Charles Lwanga could lead the hunt for goals against former immediate bosses but all eyes will be on youngsters Patrick Kakande and Abasi Kyeyune.
