Kitara 1-1 Mbarara City

URA 0-0 Busoga United

Mbarara City scored a late equaliser to deny table leaders Kitara an opportunity to extend lead at the top.

Seiri Arigumaho scored with ten minutes to time to cancel out an early goal by Denis Omedi and silence the home crowd.

Omedi put the hosts in the lead inside nine minutes as he fashioned out a chance and shot past the Mbarara City goalkeeper just inside the area.

The Royals wasted some good chances to extend the lead but that didn’t happen and they were punished in the 80th minute when Arigumaho rose highest to head home a fine Joseph Akandwanaho cross.

The goal meat Kitara only added one point to move to 48 points with three games remaining only two points above Vipers (two games in hand) and BUL (one game in hand) and thus a win for either in the Namboole clash will take them off the top.
