NEC 2-0 BUL [Agg: 3-1]

NEC will play their first ever Stanbic Uganda Cup final after eliminating former winners BUL 3-1 on aggregate following a 2-0 victory at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo on Saturday.

Joseph Dhata, scorer of the only goal for the side in the reverse fixture last week was among the goals again with Cromwell Rwothomio getting the other.

BUL who top the premier league table and beat champions Vipers on Wednesday were pedestrian for most parts of the game with Hussein Mbalangu’s men the most deserving winners.

They now await the aggregate winner between Pajule Lions and Kitara who face off on Sunday in the other semi-final.

Kitara, also in the running for the league with two points behind BUL lead 3-1 from the first leg and are favourites to play NEC in the final slated for May 25 at a venue yet to be named.
