On Sunday 5th May 2024 at 5:30 PM, Ugandan rapper Zedmonk Ssabatontomi set a new time for the Longest Rap Marathon by an Individual at Namaste Restaurant in Kampala.

Before Zedmonk’s attempt, the world record originally held by PONEY in Tokyo, Japan, stood at 48 hours, 1 minute, and 10 seconds.

Zedmonk managed to surpass the mark, stretching the time by 8 minutes and 50 seconds to set his own time; 48 hours and 10 minutes.

Upon setting the mark, Zedmonk left the raised platform at Namaste Restaurant and was swarmed by his friends and supporting fraternity.

Zedmonk will be pushing the boundaries further having set his target at 80 hours.

He is currently taking a mandatory rest which is provided after setting a world record before he resumes his quest.

Zedmonk will have to wait for official confirmation of the record after submitting his evidence to the Guinness World Records team.
