Kitara 0-2 Vipers

Vipers dislodged Kitara from the top of the table after handing them a 2-0 defeat at their own back yard in Masindi on Friday.

An own goal from Donato Okello and a second from Abubaker Lawal sealed the win for the champions who now move to 45 points, one ahead of Kitara and have a game in hand.

Kitara started well with Kabon Living causing problems but against a run of play, Vipers broke the deadlock when Yunus Sentamu forced an error from the onrushing Okello who put the ball in his own net in the 12th minute.

The second half was scrappy and had moments of ugly scenes with players involved in a physical scuffle with Maxwell Owachigiu and Hilary Mukundane at the centre of it.

Referee Mashood Ssali managed the moment well booking only one player in Hamim Ssemakula and play resumed.

The introduction of Frank Tumwesigye Zaga and Brian Aheebwa for Paul Mucureezi and Ramadhan Dudu swung the game back in Kitara control.
