Gaddafi Arena, Jinja 4pm

SC Villa must beat Gaddafi or else have their title hopes vanish.

The two sides face off at the Gaddafi Arena in Jinja with either side targeting all points to keep their ambitions in sight.

The hosts, seated 13th on the 16-team log with 19 points want victory to continue running away from the relegation monster while the visitors want to close the gap between them and the leading pack.

Dusan Stojanovic’s men are 5th with 42 points, five points behind log leaders Kitara but have two games in hand over the Royals.

They have faltered in the last three games, winning none but sharing spoils and failure to overcome that indecent run will mean another trophyless campaign confirmed at Villa Park with a few games left.

The Jogoos, arguably the most entertaining side in the division will look to iron out mistakes especially in the final third where they miss lots of opportunities.

Abasi Kyeyune, Umar Lutalo, Charles Lwanga and Patrick Jona Kakande will need to be lethal.

Villa won the first round fixtures 1-0 courtesy of a second half goal from Ivan Bogere who has since quit the club.

Hot Stat: SC Villa are unbeaten in the last 11 league matches – the longest streak in the league this season. [W6, D5]
