Kavumba Recreation Ground 4pm

KCCA’s winning run faces a stern test as they visit Soltilo Bright Stars at Kavumba on Thursday.

Abdallah Mubiru’s men come into the game on the back of six wins in a row and unbeaten in seven in all competitions (post-match penalties result don’t count) since a 1-0 home loss to Kitara in February.

Bright Stars are also unbeaten in six league matches but have only won once in that period.

“We want to continue our good form and also improve standings on the table,” said Mubiru who oversaw a 3-0 win over the same opponent in the reverse fixture.

The visitors welcome Mustafa Kiiza back into the squad after he missed the win over Mbarara City but Filbert Obenchan misses out.

Bright Stars who held Villa in their last outing will look to former KCCA players Hassan Matovu (MVP vs Villa), Nelson Ssenkatuka and Sam Ssenyonjo to cause trouble.

A win for the 13-time champions will take them to 41 points, six adrift of leaders Kitara with a game in hand while Bright Stars, 10th will got to 32 points with maximum points.
