The fourth edition of the Siz Football gala was officially launched on Sunday, 5th May 2024 at Keba Express Hotel, Mpala along Entebbe road.

For starters, this gala will take place on the 11th and 12th May 2024 at the Works playground in Entebbe Division A, Entebbe Municipality.

This tranquil launch was graced by officials from Siz Football Academy, the organizers of the gala and representation from the Uganda Youth Football Association (UYFA).

Sulait Ibrahim Zabasajja, the founder and director of Siz Football Academy

Sulait Ibrahim Zabasajja, the founder and director of Siz Football Academy promised the best championship ever coming to the fourth year since inception.

Zabasajja, flanked by other officials of the academy called upon different academies to come and take part in this noble cause.

“The fourth edition of the Siz Football Gala is back and will be stage on the 11th and 12th May 2024 at Works playground. I call upon all academies from the ages of 11, 13, 15 and 17 to come and take part. We promise the best organization with good prize money, medals and trophies” Zabasajja stated.

Azizi Mutari, the Uganda Youth Football Association (UYFA) chairperson, in charge of Entebbe area vowed to help design a better strategy that will benefit the young players.

“UYFA is humbled to have such youth tournaments. The Siz gala is a limelight in Entebbe and we shall come up with a strategy that will benefit the transition of these players.” Mutari promised.

The registration fees are fixed at Ug.Shs 100,000 for U-11 and Ug.Shs 150,000 for U-13, U-15 and U-17 per team.

The prizes will range from cash, trophies, plaques for outstanding players to certificates.

Specially designed trophies and medals to be won by the outstanding teams and players

Last year, Streamline Football Academy won the U-13 cluster to take home a trophy, gold medals and Ug.shs 500,000.

For the U-15 category, it was the hosts, Siz Football Academy who emerged victorious with a trophy, gold medals and cash prize of Ug.shs 500,000.

In the U-17 docket, Burkina Select emerged top to claim the gold medals, trophy and cash prize of Ug.Shs 700,000.

Noah Ssentesi, the head coach at Siz Football Academy

Noah Ssentesi, the head coach at Siz Football Academy believes that they will field their teams in the different age groups with intention to compete than merely participate.

“As Siz Football Academy, we shall field our different teams in the age groups of U-11, U-13, U-15 and U-17 to compete for the top prizes. Our players have been training well and ready for business” Ssentesi remarked.

This tournament is intended to provide a platform for young talented players to showcase their full potential as they are nurtured into great players.
