The season will start on Friday August 11, 2023, after Community Shield on August 6 where Manchester City will face Arsenal at Wembley stadium.
Why Man City playing Arsenal in community shield 2023/24?
Usually community shield is played by the winner of the English Premier League and the winner of F.A Cup, so if one club becomes the winner of both premier league and FA cup it will have to play with the club that finishes in the 2nd position at the end of premier league season.
