URA 2-0 NEC

UPDF 1-1 Gaddafi

URA began the post-Obua era with victory as they saw off visitors NEC 2-0 at Kabaka Kyabaggu stadium, Wakiso on Tuesday.

Ivan Ahimbisibwe scored in either half for the tax collectors who end a four-match winless streak to climb to 8th on the table with 34 points.

The forward got the scores open inside seven minutes and got the second goal in the 47th minute which the tax men held on for maximum points.

Robert Mukasa who is in charge of the four-time champions recalled forgotten men Hudu Mulikyi and Denis Otim into the starting eleven and also got Ahimbisibwe back in the eleven and the move paid off.

NEC remains four points off the top and literally out of the title race after this defeat on 40 points.

At Bombo, two relegation threatened sides played out a 1-1 draw as UPDF rallied to hold Gaddafi.
